Boren Scholarship Program

Who Is Eligible:

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must be a matriculated sophomore, junior, or senior in universities, colleges, and community colleges.

Must be applying to engage in a study abroad experience in a country outside of western Europe, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand that meets home institution standards.

Must be planning to use the scholarship for study abroad and the study abroad program ends before you graduate.

NSEP undergraduate scholarships are not for study in the United States.



May work in any U.S federal department or agency.

Scholars must begin to fulfill the service requirement no later than three years after the date of graduation from or termination of the program of study for which the scholarship was awarded.

Deadline: 01/01/2018
Amount: Maximum $10,000 for semester; $20,000 for the year
