Early registration/ advisement dates

We urge you to get advised as soon as possible in order to give you the opportunity to register for the best selection of classes. In order to get an early (priority) registration appointment, you must be advised by your Faculty or Academic Advisor.

How to Determine When to be Advised and Registered

Special Note: New students should look out for information regarding orientation, advisement and registration via e-mail, mail or on the web.

Currently enrolled non-degree students should check their CUNYfirst Student Center to view their enrollment appointment.

Early advisement will begin March 20, 2014 in the Academic Departments. Click here for Advisement Directions.

Advisement will take place from March 20, 2014 through May 15, 2014. However, if you are advised between March 20th and April 10th, go to the Registrar's Office, Room S315, to obtain a priority registration appointment. The Registrar's Office will be open Mondays-Thursday from 9am-7pm and Fridays from 9am-5pm.

Advisement is based on the number of credits you will complete by the end of the current semester. For example, if in previous semesters you completed 28 credits and are currently taking 12 credits, your total credits are 40.

Getting Registered
The schedule of classes will be available April 1, 2014 for you to select classes and place them in your Shopping Cart†. Use the schedule worksheet to help you in planning and have one or two alternatives before registration.

Paying Your Bill
Your bill should be paid at any time on or before the due date that appears in your Tuition Account. Please check with the Bursar's Office and/or CUNYfirst home page for exact dates.

Notes:

†Placing classes in your Shopping Cart does NOT reserve you a seat in a class. You must confirm your enrollment in the classes you have placed in your shopping cart by selecting course(s) and clicking Finish Enrolling.
