BMCC-Carroll and Milton Petrie Student Emergency Grant Fund

The Carroll and Milton Petrie Student Emergency Grant Fund was created to provide eligible students facing short-term, non-recurring emergencies with a one-time grant to alleviate the situation. To insure that the greatest number of students in need get assistance, recipients will receive only one grant during their tenure at BMCC.

The program seeks to assist students so they can continue and complete their education at the College. Precedence will be given to students with extreme emergencies. All grant requests will require documentation. You must submit documentation(s) attesting to the validity of any claims made or reasons given for the request. You will meet with the Emergency Fund staff to discuss the appropriate documentation for your situation.

Note: Petrie grants will not be given for tuition cost, college debts or legal representation.

Applications submitted without documentation will NOT be reviewed. If you are unclear as to what you should submit with your application, please ask one of the staff members in the Single Stop Office, S-235.

Once complete, all application materials must be submitted to the Single Stop Office, room S-235.
