BMCC’s Women Panthers defeated the Kingsborough Community College Wave 42-33 in the first game of the semifinal round of the 2010 CUNY Athletic Conference.

Eyandra Molina led the Panthers (11-8) with 21 points, shooting 6-for-18 from the floor and 6-of-9 from the free throw line, adding nine rebounds. Latoya Lee added ten points and dished out eight assists, while Keisha Bjorntzen scored nine points and hauled in 13 rebounds.

Top-seeded BMCC now heads to the 13th Annual CUNY Athletic Conference / Con Edison Community College Women’s Basketball Championships tomorrow at 5:30pm. They await the winner of tonight’s second semifinal contest between the second-seeded Queensborough Tigers and the third-seeded Hostos Caimans.
