| INTERNSHIPS |
| Office Administration majors are required to take an
internship. Internships are offered in he Fall, Spring, and Summer
semesters in the following programs: Office Automation and Office
Operations. |
| Sample Internship Duties |
| Interns will apply theory learned
in major concentration classes to gain particle business experience
and skills in some of the following areas:typing letters and memos
using word processing software, entering data into databases, answering
phones, greeting clients and guests, faxing, xeroxing, filing, assisting
with mailings, generating spreadsheet reports. |
| Requirements for enrolling in an internship
are: |

have an overall GPA of 2.0 or above |
 |
have 24 credits completed |
 |
have completed the Career Planning course (CED
201) required for Office Automation majors |
 |
elective for Office Operations majorshave
6 credits completed in their major |
 |
be available to work 15 hours
per week. |
