INTERNSHIPS
Office Administration majors are required to take an internship. Internships are offered in he Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters in the following programs: Office Automation and Office Operations.
Sample Internship Duties
Interns will apply theory learned in major concentration classes to gain particle business experience and skills in some of the following areas:typing letters and memos using word processing software, entering data into databases, answering phones, greeting clients and guests, faxing, xeroxing, filing, assisting with mailings, generating spreadsheet reports.
Requirements for enrolling in an internship are:
have an overall GPA of 2.0 or above
have 24 credits completed
have completed the Career Planning course (CED 201) required for Office Automation majors
elective for Office Operations majorshave 6 credits completed in their major
be available to work 15 hours per week.
