Requirements and Selection Policies

Effective spring 2016, the HESI A2 Exam will no longer be administered for admission into BMCC’s nursing program.

As of spring 2016, students interested in entering the BMCC nursing program must take the Kaplan Admission Test (KAT) at the College. Kaplan Admission Test (KAT) scores from other nursing schools will not be accepted. This examination may be taken for a maximum of two times but NOT in the same semester.

It is highly recommended that students complete BIO 426 prior to taking the Kaplan Admission Test.

To reserve a seat for the Kaplan Admission Test (KAT), eligible BMCC students MUST:
Fill-out an application for the Nursing Program with the Nursing Academic Advisor during Early Academic Advisement in the Spring and the Fall semester.
