Counseling

Each student is advised and counseled by their classroom instructor throughout the program. Since counseling and advisement is an on-going process, the nursing advisor reviews nursing curriculum requirements and policies as well as the criteria for progression through the curriculum. The advisors will explore with the student any factors which may interfere with the student's academic success.

If the nursing student does not meet minimal criteria for remaining in the nursing curriculum, the nursing advisor will explore with the student other available education and occupational opportunities.

Counseling is also available through the Department of Student Life with counseling in the following areas: Academic Advisement, Academic Probation, and Career Education.
