ART 164 Life Drawing2 crs. 2 hrs. Students are introduced to various drawing
media and techniques. Rendering problems dealing with gesture, action,
proportion, form and anatomical structure are pursued. Charcoal, pencil,
conte crayon, ink and wash, marking pen and various papers (cold and
hot press, rice, newsprint and prepared surfaces) are used. Selected
readings and attendance at drawing shows in museums and galleries
are required. Prerequisite: Art 301 or permission of
department.
