Teleconferencing using digital
telephony
ISDN teleconferencing is the most common technology of this
kind in use today. It is used to link many commercial, non-profit
and educational institutions throughout the world. Using a bundle
of three specialized digital telephone lines it provides acceptable
"business quality" video and audio. Document cameras and computers
can be used as presentation aids as well.
BMCC operates a PictureTel Model 760 for this purpose. We can teleconference
from Rooms S-510 or S-370.
By special arrangement, we can call the ISDN bridge at CUNY to allow
for multipoint conferences.
