EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Recruitment is conducted during the fall and spring semesters. If you are interested in becoming a learning assistant please contact the designated program supervisor.
General Learning Assistant Duties:
1. Meet with students in an individual, shared, or group tutoring format to enhance, support and clarify concepts discussed in class lectures, readings, handouts, etc.
2. Provide guidance in study skills methods.
3. Complete all paperwork to assist in the monitoring of students using tutoring services.
4. Participate in the program orientation and training sessions.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average.
2. Certification by appropriate department chair or designee.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Applicants must be available to participate in required training on February 22 and March 15, and ongoing training sessions throughout the semester.
