The Manhattan Educational Opportunity Center (MEOC) was established in 1966 by the State University of New York (SUNY) as the Urban Center in Manhattan, as a result of an act of the New York State Legislature. The MEOC has been funded by the State University of New York University Center for Academic and Workforce Development (SUNY-UCAWD) and administered by Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) of the City University of New York during its entire history.

Maintaining a secure and positive testing environment conducive to testing.

Administering computer and paper based exams according to testing guidelines.

Verifying valid identification and distribute/collect issued testing materials.

Handle day to day operations of test administration and duties as assigned.


High school diploma or equivalent education is required. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be reliable, flexible, work independently and as a team. Possess the ability to push, pull, bend, carry, and lift 25lbs. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications. Ability to stand and be on your feet for long periods of time. Must be available for evening/night and weekend hours. Professional attire required. Must be able to orally administer test to populations of up to 50 persons per session.

Fingerprinting fee is required for all applicants.


SALARY: $12.00/hr

Maximum of 19 hours per week.
