DUTIES:
GENERAL DUTIES:
Directs College's fundraising strategy and administration of fund-raising programs.
Designs, implements and monitors comprehensive resource development program
Responsible for meeting specific goals and targets
Develops funding strategies; assesses outcome of strategic plan
Oversees a portfolio of annual and major gift prospects to establish and sustain ongoing relations
Maintains relationships with donors and sponsoring organizations to cultivate and maintain funding
Ensures reporting requirements are completed in timely and accurate manner
Manages professional and clerical staff
Performs related duties as assigned
CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Collaborate with Vice President of Development to plan and manage the development program for BMCC Foundation as well as the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center.
Manage and oversee daily operations of the development office; supervise staff and oversee budget and organizational systems.
Assist with quarterly Board meetings and with building and staffing Board committees.
Partner to create the development plan, set goals, and establish calendar of activities, including a fundraising gala and strategies for a multi-million dollar campaign as well as help implement and manage these plans and goals.
Help build major gifts and planned giving programs including prospect research to build a prospect pipeline, major gift assignments, and goal setting for all staff; on-going monitoring of staff progress; and donor recognition as appropriate including donor wall and naming opportunities.
Facilitate collaboration among all members of the development staff to assure positive and supportive relationships.
Manage and assure donor stewardship, pledge recording, and gift acknowledgements.
Work with high level board members and donors as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required.

Solid relationship-building and team-building skills
Excellent fund raising judgement
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects
Skilled at navigating complicated organizations
Master's Degree preferred
