DUTIES:

GENERAL DUTIES:
 
I.T. Assistants perform entry-level professional work in technology-related disciplines.  While areas of specialization vary, typically I.T. Assistants work in areas such as development/programming, communications, technical support, or similar based on the needs of the Information Technology area to which they report.  Work tasks include resolving minor technology problems, monitoring activities, and maintaining documentation.  They have latitude for independent initiative and judgment, under supervision.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
 
Reports to the IT Manager or his designee:

Assists in planning, organizing, and integrating cross-functional information technology projects to deliver specific measured results to the business owner.

Assists in organizing and monitoring all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion.

Ability to assist in bringing project to successful completion through political sensitivity.

Participates in project meetings, performing project tracking and analysis.

Assists in overall project management of application software projects, employing structured project management methodologies and principles.

Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Mac, LAN/WAN, Wireless etc.) as needed.

Supports post implementation project reviews and the integration of any lessons learned into future project delivery as well as third party project reviews.

SALARY: New Hire:  $46,704*
Incumbent:  $52,776
*This amount reflects a 13% salary suppression in effect for the first 24 months of employment only.
