Academic Testing Coordinator (2 positions)

Provides administrative support related to a College's academic testing function.

Participates in the planning, scheduling and administration of a variety of academic tests required by CUNY and/or the College

Assists with the implementation of test security protocols; arranges for the prompt scoring of all administered tests

Establishes and maintains test files, databases and records; prepares activity reports and analyses

Serves as office technology liaison with other campus offices to facilitate testing operations

Recruits and trains test proctors

May prepare, distribute, collect and scan student faculty evaluations

May supervise part-time and clerical staff and/or monitor department budget

Performs related duties as assigned.

BMCC is seeking for 2 Testing Coordinators, one is for Day Shift and one is for Evening/Weekend Shift.

The Testing Coordinator reports to the Director of Instructional Testing and is responsible for administering initial tests for freshman and transfer students, Immersion, CLIP, 24 College Credit, and exit tests for Developmental Skills, Mathematics and English departments.


Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred qualifications include:

Two (2) years full-time related work experience; one (1) year of full-time experience in a college setting (preferably academic testing)

Supervisory and customer service experience, knowledge of scheduling, and budget process

This position requires strong analytical and computer skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects as well as proven writing ability.

SALARY: $35,576 - $50,568
