Antonio Pérez, President, was named to the Board of Trustees
of Fielding Graduate University.
Sadie Bragg, Vice President Academic
Affairs, was named the 2005 Outstanding Alumna, Mathematics, Science,
and Technology, by Columbia
University in May.
Hilario Barrero, Modern Languages, is the recipient
of a 2005 Feliks Gross Endowment Award. Given by the CUNY Academy
for the Humanities
and Sciences, the award honors emerging scholars for their research
and scholarly achievements.
Barrero is a poet and artist.
Nidia Pulles-Linares, Modern Languages,
was selected by the National Endowment for the Arts to participate
in “Inquisitions and
Persecutions in Early Modern Europe and the Americas.” Pulles-Linares
was selected from a national pool of educators to attend the seminar,
hosted at the University of Maryland, College Park, M.D.
Janelle
V. Thornhill, Academic Advisement, was awarded the 2005 National
Academic Advising Association (NACADA) National Award.
She will be
presented with the award in October at the national conference.
