Tim Tynan is the Managing Director and Global Head of Citigroup Business Services. He joined the company in 2001, and is responsible for global operations of the company-wide shared services functions which include Payment Services, Employee HR Services, Procurement, General Services, and Financial Reporting Operations that support consolidated reporting and control for Citigroup.
Prior to joining Citigroup, Tim was an executive at the IBM Corporation where he had a 20-year career that included management roles in sales and marketing, operations, customer service, product market development, and client relationship management.
Tim served as the Chairman of the Borough of Manhattan Community College Board of Trustees from 2003 to 2005 and he continues to serve as a member of the Board today. He is a member of the Westchester County New York Airport Board of Advisors and is actively involved with Bridges-to-Community, the NGO promoting development and cross-cultural learning in Nicaragua. Tim is also a regular guest lecturer at NYU’s Stern School of Business.
Tim received his B.S. degree from the State University of New York, and M.B.A. from Hofstra University. He also attended the Executive Management program at Harvard University.
Tim lives in Bedford, New York along with his wife Diane and their three teenage sons.
