Theresa Clark Messer

- National Basketball Players Association

Theresa Clark Messer is currently the Director of Finance for the National Basketball Players Association and the Women’s National Basketball Players Association and all of their related entities.  She is the first woman to hold this position since the NBPA’s inception in 1954.

One of Ms. Messer’s most notable achievements is co-managing the multi-million dollar renovation of the historic Mutual Life Insurance building in Harlem. This building is now the headquarters for both the NBPA and WNBPA.

Ms. Messer earned an Associates degree in Applied Science from the Borough of Manhattan Community College in 1982, and went on for a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Pace University, and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Long Island University.  She is also a Certified Public Accountant and has worked as a financial consultant for MetLife.

I am pleased to note that Theresa Clark Messer has recently joined the Board of Trustees of the BMCC Foundation.  She, her husband Paul and their two sons reside in upstate New York.
