Managing Director, Senior Human Resources Officer - Citi Transaction Services
Bill Fisse, a 32-year Citi HR Executive, is the Senior Human Resources Officer for Citi’s Transaction Services (CTS) Business, the leading provider of Cash Management, Treasury and Trade Services and Securities Funds Services in over 100 countries around the world. CTS, a $10 Billion business, headquartered in New York, employs over 22,000 Citibanker’s globally.
Bill joined Citi Transaction Services in June, 2009 after having spent the last nine years as the Senior HR Officer for Citi’s Credit Card Division – Citi Cards, followed by an assignment in Citi Holdings Consumer.
Before joining Citi Cards, Bill spent two years in London, England as Division HR Director for Citi’s Consumer Businesses in Central/Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Prior to his assignment in London, Bill managed HR for a number of Citi’s North America Consumer Businesses, including the New York Retail Bank; Citi’s Mortgage and Student Loan Businesses and a start up information business called Citicorp Point of Sale.
Bill’s passion is implementing Human Capital strategies that are aligned to the business to help build a high performing organization, where high performance is defined as sustained business growth.
Earlier in his career, Bill was selected to participate as a member of Citibank’s Team Challenge where he worked on an intensive two-month initiative for then Chairman John Reed dedicated to building a high performing work environment and culture at Citibank. After presenting the Team Challenge recommendations, Bill worked full-time for the next year defining Citibank’s corporate values that became known as “The CitiWay.”
Bill began his career with Citi as a HR Generalist in the Credit Card Division in 1980 after having spent three years in Allstate Insurance Company’s Management Associate Program.
Bill holds a BBA in Human Resources Management and an MBA in Finance from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
Bill currently resides in Dix Hills, New York with his wife Stacey and two daughters, Arielle, age 22 and Jessica, age 20. He is an avid sports fan and loves to travel internationally.
