We have some exciting news to share with you! BMCC is continuing its successful Tuition Waiver program this summer 2018 session. To be eligible, students must be matriculated at BMCC, New York State residents and U.S. citizens or permanent residents at the time the waiver is applied.
Below are details on the various tuition waiver types and additional eligibility requirements. You can also download a pdf version of the chart.
Summer sessions 6W1, 7W1, 10W and 12W begin on Wednesday, May 30. Summer session 5W2 begins on Wednesday, July 18. Students are eligible to receive one (1) waiver for a class that begins on May 30 and one (1) waiver for a class that begins on July 18. Please visit the Academic Calendar for more deadline information:
Please note that only the tuition for the course(s) will be waived and students will be responsible for all fees and materials, such as textbooks. To help with transportation costs, students who receive a tuition waiver will also receive a 30-day MetroCard. To qualify for the tuition waiver(s) and the 30-day MetroCard, students must register for the summer 2018 course(s) no later than May 1 for classes that begin on May 30 and June 15 for classes that begin on July 18. As funding is limited, waivers will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. If students are granted a summer tuition waiver, they will receive a notification to their BMCC email address during the week of May 21 for the first summer sessions and the week of July 9 for the second summer session. Please note, students must complete the summer course(s). If they drop or fail to attend, the waiver(s) may be revoked and they will be responsible for the tuition.
