If you are a first time Direct Loan borrower,
sign the Electronic Master Promissory Note (e-MPN) online
at www.dlenote.ed.gov
using your Department of Education PIN (the same as that
used to sign your FAFSA). If you do not know or have forgotten
your PIN, apply for a new one at www.pin.ed.gov. REMEMBER: After signing the e-MPN, you must return to this page to complete STEP 5!
You will be able to make Fall 2008-Spring 2009 loan requests beginning Monday, June 9th.
Make sure you have filed your 2008-09 FAFSA and resolved your application issues with the Financial Aid Office before submitting your 2008-09 loan request.
If you are dependent, and your parents wish
to request a Federal
Direct PLUS Loan, you must use a Fall
2008 - Spring 2009 Federal Direct PLUS Loan Request.
Parents who are first time PLUS Loan borrowers must sign
an Electronic Master Promissory Note (e-MPN) online at
www.dlenote.ed.gov
using a Department of Education PIN. If your parents do
not know or have forgotten their PIN, they may apply for
a new one at www.pin.ed.gov.
