DISBURSEMENT INFORMATION

If you choose the direct deposit payment option, you will have your funds deposited to your direct deposit account on the indicated date.

If you have not chosen direct deposit as your method of payment, a check will be mailed to you on the indicated date.

NOTE: Federal Direct Loan or Perkins Loan checks are not mailed but are available at the Bursar's Office Rm S320 on the dates indicated.

When you pick up a check in person, you must present two forms of identification. The first required form is your BMCC College ID. The second required form may be one of the following: driver's license, non-driver's ID card (can be obtained from the Dept. of Motor Vehicles), original birth certificate, valid passport, permanent resident card, and/or an original copy of a Pell Grant Student Aid Report. No check(s) will be distributed in person without a BMCC ID Card and one of the second froms of identification.

Checks not mailed must be picked up in person by the designated recipient within one (1) week of the check distribution date. Checks not picked up after 1 week are subject to cancellation.

CONSIDER DIRECT DEPOSIT

You may have your financial aid funds electronically deposited into your own personal checking or savings account. We recommend direct deposit of your financial aid payments for its security and convenience.

If you wish to make direct deposit as your method of payment, print a copy of the Direct Deposit Authorization Form and return it to the Bursar's Office, Rm S-320. For more information about direct deposit, contact the Bursar's Office.

- Report any lost or stolen check to the Bursar' Office immediately.
- If you lose your check after signing the back and it is cashed, CUNY will NOT cover the loss.
- If CUNY issues a replacement check, it may take up to 6 months to receive it.
