Anastassios Rigopoulos

Assistant Professor, Media Arts and Technology

Anastassios (Tassos) Rigopoulos received his MFA in film and video production from the University of Texas at Austin. He has worked on documentaries, features and short films in the United States and Greece in various capacities (producer, writer, director, editor.) Recent credits include the non-fiction television series Viewpoint and Greektown, which he co-produced for Hellenic public television. His work has gathered several national and international distinctions, including a Student Television Academy Award in 1997 for his thesis Texas and the Death Penalty. Professor Rigopoulos started teaching at BMCC as an adjunct instructor in 2007.
