Matthew Chan

Assistant Professor, Computer Information Systems

Matthew Chan received a PhD in Computer Science from the CUNY Graduate Center. He has worked as an adjunct instructor of Computer Science and as a Research Assistant at the Information Retrieval Lab of Queens College, CUNY. 

In the international competition of Internet Search Engine in 1999, sponsored by National Institute of Standards & Technology and Advanced Defense Research Projects Agency, he with his research team at Queens College achieved the best result among many academic and industrial participants from around the world including AT&T Research Lab, MIT, Microsoft and IBM. He has co-authored nine refereed publications. His research interests include RFID localization and applications, algorithms, information security, as well as information retrieval.
