| In order to be successful in an online course
you MUST make sure that you understand the following requirements: |
 |
You must have an e-mail address.
Every student at BMCC is assigned a BMCC e-mail address. If you have
another e-mail address that you would perfer using for your online
courses, you must inform your instructor and go online using the PANTHER
system to update or add your new e-mail address.
All students must contact their instructor via e-mail prior
to the start of class. See
contacting instructors for your instructors contact information. |
 |
Online Student must have a computer
with internet access. Don't rely on doing your work for an
online course if your only access to a computer is at school or at
work, since you will be online at least 3-4 days a week for lengthy
periods of time. |
 |
Microsoft Word should be the word processing
program that is installed on your computer. You should know
how to create a document send it as an attachment, and use the "copy",
"cut" and "paste" functions. For some Economics
or Math courses, you must know how to use additional software, such
as Microsoft Excel and Equation Editior, so check with your instructor.
