| INTERNSHIPS |
In conjuction with the Cooperative Education Department,
Computer Information Systems offers internships the following areas:

| Internships are two-credit courses that involve field
work and independent study under the direction of a coop internship
faculty coordinator. Internships are offered in the fall, spring,
and summer semesters. |
| Sample Internship duties |
| Interns will apply theory learned in
class to gain practical experience and skills in some of the following
areas: writing, modifying, testing, and running programs; setting
up personal computers and peripherals; installing software and hardware
for PC users, troubleshooting user problems, and assisting with computer
network maintenance; creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets. |
| Computer Information Systems |
To be eligible for a Computer Information
Systems internship you must:
 |
have proper work authorization/documentation |
 |
have an overall GPA of 2.0 or above |
 |
have completed 24 credits |
 |
have completed at least 2 courses in Computer
Information Systems |
 |
have completed the Career Planning course
(CED 201) |
 |
be available to work 12-15 hours per week |

| Multimedia Programming and Design |
To be eligible for a Multimedia Programming
and Design internship you must:
 |
have proper work authorization/documentation |
 |
have an overall GPA of 2.0 or above |
 |
have completed 24 credits |
 |
have completed Introduction to Multimedia
(MMP 100) and Multimedia Design (MMP 200) |
 |
and have one of the following completed: ART
(MMA) 354, VAT 171, MMP 220 |
 |
be available to work 12-15 hours per week |
