INTERNSHIPS
In conjuction with the Cooperative Education Department, Computer Information Systems offers internships the following areas:

Computer Information Systems
Multimedia Programming and Design
Internships are two-credit courses that involve field work and independent study under the direction of a coop internship faculty coordinator. Internships are offered in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
Sample Internship duties
Interns will apply theory learned in class to gain practical experience and skills in some of the following areas: writing, modifying, testing, and running programs; setting up personal computers and peripherals; installing software and hardware for PC users, troubleshooting user problems, and assisting with computer network maintenance; creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets.
Computer Information Systems
To be eligible for a Computer Information Systems internship you must:

have proper work authorization/documentation
have an overall GPA of 2.0 or above
have completed 24 credits
have completed at least 2 courses in Computer Information Systems
have completed the Career Planning course
(CED 201)
be available to work 12-15 hours per week

Multimedia Programming and Design
To be eligible for a Multimedia Programming and Design internship you must:
have proper work authorization/documentation
have an overall GPA of 2.0 or above
have completed 24 credits
have completed Introduction to Multimedia
(MMP 100) and Multimedia Design (MMP 200)
and have one of the following completed: ART (MMA) 354, VAT 171, MMP 220
be available to work 12-15 hours per week
