Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks (TSHOOT)

This course is focused on practical solutions to Enterprise Network issues.  You’ll be required to configure advanced scenarios in support of Enterprise Networking and you’ll learn the ins-and-outs of connectivity in large-scale networks.  Grading for this course consists of a Written Final and Practical (Hands-on) Final.  Upon completion you’ll be prepared to pass the TSHOOT 642-832 Exam.

3.    Using Maintenance and Troubleshooting Tools and Applications

Collection of Information using Show Commands, Testing Connectivity, Diagnosing Hardware Issues, Specialized Maintenance and Troubleshooting Tools, Traffic Capturing Tools

4.    Maintaining and Troubleshooting Campus Switched Solutions

Troubleshooting VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, SVIs, and HSRP

5.    Maintaining and Troubleshooting Routing Solutions

Troubleshooting Network Layer Issues involving EIGRP, OSPF, Redistribution, and BGP

6.    Troubleshooting Addressing Services

Identifying Common IPv4 Addressing Service Issues, NAT/PAT Operations related to Routing and ACLs, Troubleshooting DHCP Issues, Identifying Common IPv6 Issues related to Routing and OSPFv3

7.    Troubleshooting Network Performance Issues

Troubleshooting NBAR, Cisco IP SLA, QoS, AutoQoS, Auto-MDIX, Control-Plane Troubleshooting, Switch Performance Troubleshooting, CEF Troubleshooting and Common BGP Memory Use Issues

8.    Troubleshooting Converged Networks

Troubleshooting Converged Networks to Support Wireless Operations, Troubleshooting WLAN Misconfigured Trunks, Trust Issues, LWAPP, Port Security and Issues related STP

9.    Maintaining and Troubleshooting Network Security

Troubleshooting Challenges in Secure Networks, Securing and Troubleshooting the Management and Control Planes, Troubleshooting Branch and Remote Connectivity Issues

Pre-requisite: Semesters 1 through 4 CCNA at a Cisco Academy or CCNA Certification, Implementing Cisco IP Routing (ROUTE) (642-902), Implementing Cisco switched Networks (SWITCH) (642-813)
