This course is focused on practical solutions to Enterprise Network issues.  You’ll be required to configure advanced scenarios in support of Enterprise Networking and you’ll learn the ins-and-outs of connectivity in large-scale networks.  Grading for this course consists of a Written Final and Practical (Hands-on) Final.  Upon completion you’ll be prepared to pass the SWITCH 642-813 Exam.

4.    Inter-VLAN Routing

External Inter-VLAN Routing, VLAN Routing using SVI’s, Configuring Inter-VLAN Routing, DHCP in a Switched Environment, Deploying CEF based Multilayer Switching

5.    High Availability and Redundancy

Understanding High Availability, Implementing High Availability, Network Monitoring, Syslog, SNMP, IP SLA, Implementing Redundant Supervisor Engines, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP Configuration

6.    Securing the Campus Infrastructure

Switch Security Fundamentals, MAC Layer Attacks, VLAN Attacks, Spoofing Attacks, 802.1x, AAA, SPAN, VSPAN, RSPAN, ERSPAN, VACLs with Capture Option

7.    Preparing the Campus Infrastructure for Advanced Services

Voice, Video and Wireless Applications in the Campus Network, Cisco Wireless LAN Solutions, Unified Communications, QoS, Supporting Wireless and VoIP

Pre-requisite: Semesters 1 through 4 CCNA at a Cisco Academy or CCNA Certification, Implementing Cisco IP Routing(ROUTE)(642-902)
