Preya Patel, Adobe Creative Suite From an early age, Preya Patel was drawn to the arts, but it was not until she traveled across the pond that her passions truly began to blossom: ¿I had family in London, and seeing them regularly on vacations eventually inspired me to go there to study art.¿
Sung Gwak, Allied Health Instructor Professor Sung Gwak will be the first person to tell you that she is a tough teacher who demands a lot from her students. Like any great teacher though, Professor Gwak is not tough merely for toughness¿ sake. She holds her students to high standards in order to prepare them for the high stakes of the medical profession, where errors can be costly and failure is never an option.
Antonio Suarez, Emergency Medicine Antonio Suarez discovered the healing touch at an early age. As a boy scout, he earned a Merit Badge in First Aid after treating the wounds of another boy who had been injured in an accident. This small moment of heroism brought the young Mr. Suarez cheers and accommodations, but it also brought his future into focus.
John Rullan, Technology John Rullan has deep roots in the technology field. A graduate of Brooklyn Automotive High School, Mr. Rullan originally worked as an auto mechanic alongside his father and older brothers. Even in this early stage of his career, Mr. Rullan was already distinguishing himself as a technology whiz.
In most Spanish-speaking classrooms, teachers are addressed by the formal pronoun "usted," a word that conveys authority. BMCC's Soledad Arias, on the other hand, goes by the more friendly and casual "tu," allowing her students to check their inhibitions at the door and enter a learning environment without boundaries.
