Computer Operations I

This course introduces the student to practical experience
operating a mainframe computer through the use of OS/MVS Job
Control Language (JCL). The background, purpose and the concepts
of operating systems as implemented through OS/MVS JCL are
taught through a series of practical assignments. Also covered
are the creation and execution of utility and sort/merge programs
in the IBM 30XX environment.
Prerequisite: CIS 235 or any CIS 300-level course or departmental
approval.
