The first step to assist students in choosing a major

A quick and easy way to learn more about careers and majors is by using CareerZone. Students use this tool as their first step to identify an area of study at BMCC and research careers and employment opportunities related to their major. More than 400 videos provide a brief and visual introduction to careers and the world of work.

The Self-Directed Search and the Strong Interest Inventory assists students to identify a major and career options based on their personal interests, skills, and abilities. The Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator helps students identify suitable careers based on their personality profile.

Having a successful career is the result of pursuing your interests. Determining what those interests are, identifying what you would like to do, can be done at the Center for Career Development using our inventory of tools for vocational and personality assessments.
