There are many other ways to prepare for
an interview. But the goal is to keep "surprises" to a minimum, and
the best way to do that is to prepare, beforehand, answers to some
of the most commonly asked questions.
The following list should get started
thinking about your answers.
Basic
Get to Know you questions
Tell me about yourself.
What are your biggest accomplishments?
What is your greatest strength? Weakness?
How do you manage stress? How do you handle criticism?
What qualities should a successful manager possess?
How do you define success?
Will you relocate?
Have you ever been fired? This
can be checked, so don't lie! If the answer is yes, you might
want to address differences in personalities, styles and/or
objectives. Whatever you do, do not badmouth the boss or the
company.
What would you like to be doing five years from
now?
Questions about your work habits
What are some of the things you find difficult
to do? Why?
Do you make your opinions known when you disagree
with the view of your supervisor? How?
What have you done that shows initiative and
willingness to work?
How do you organize and plan for major project?
How many hours per week do you think someone
should spend on the job?Be very careful here. If you say "as
many as necessary," you may be asked to put in fifty or sixty
"necessary" hours per week. It might be better to say between
forty and fifty hours per week.
Do you prefer working independently or on a team?
What is your energy level like?
Give me an example of when you dealt with pressure?

Describe the relationship that should exist between
a supervisor and subordinates?
You've changed jobs frequently. Why? Talk
about better opportunities and more money. Focus on more challenge
in each job.
