F-1 international students in the U.S. must file at least one income tax form with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), even if you do not earn income in the U.S. The good news is that if you overpaid tax, you will get a refund!
While the International Student Services Office (ISSO) cannot offer direct tax assistance or advice, this workshop will provide an overview of your responsibilities as an F-1 student and resources to consult.
MaryEllen Ferrerra from the BMCC Single Stop office will be available to discuss tax preparation services offered to current BMCC students. ISSO has also invited Sprintax, a non-resident tax preparation service, will also be at the workshop to answer tax-related questions.
Register online for this workshop.
