This conference is intended to inspire and encourage women as well as to provide space for their voices to be heard. Our presenters come from varied disciplines and offer their life stories, successes and failures as moments for us to reflect upon the ways in which women Persist and Resist.
The keynote speakers will be Christine Quinn, President & Chief Executive Officer, Women in Need and Former Speaker of the New York City Council (2006–2013) and Melissa Mark-Viverito, Senior Advisor, Latino Victory Fund and Former Speaker of the New York City Council (2014–2017). Ms. Quinn will speak at 12:30pm and Ms. Mark-Viverito will speak at 9:15 a.m.
