Women's Herstory Month: How Three Australian Aboriginal Girls Escaped Incarceration, Survived in the Outback, and Crossed the Desert on Foot to Return Home

Hear the true story of how three Australian Aboriginal girls escaped incarceration, survived in the outback, and crossed the desert on foot to return home.

This event will begin with a 20 minute introductory lecture giving the historical context for the story depicted in the film followed by a screening. Following the film, the group will discuss questions related to themes of persistence and survival, female heroism, racism, and authority.
