Do you love fashion? crafts? DIY projects? Do you have a great idea but aren't sure how to bring it to life?
Join us for this WiTNY (Women in Technology, NY) workshop and learn how new technologies can help you achieve your vision. You'll learn how to use conductive thread, copper, sensors and LEDs to create wearables that respond to the environment.
Not only will you gain technical skills and come out with a real product... you'll also get to collaborate and share ideas with other like-minded creative women.
No prior experience is needed. Come, learn and create! If you have a specific project in mind, feel free to contract Talya at email@example.com, the instructor, who will be happy to customize the workshop to your needs... and if you don't know what you want to make yet, just come and experiment with us!
Please RSVP to Anna Pinkas at firstname.lastname@example.org before Saturday 2/24.
This workshop is funded by the Women in Techology and Entrepreneurship in New York Initiative* (WITNY).
* The mission of the Women in Technology and Entrepreneurship in New York initiative is to facilitate, encourage and enable a significant increase in the participation of women in both higher education and entrepreneurship in computer science and related technology fields in New York.
