“IN THE STUDIO,” an exhibition of recent faculty art, opens at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) of the City University of New York (CUNY) on Wednesday, February 14, at Shirley Fiterman Art Center and run through March 24.
Opening Reception: February 14, 5-8 p.m.
including a memorial tribute to Professor Charles McGill at 6:30 p.m.
“IN THE STUDIO” offers gallerygoers a look at BMCC’s dynamic, diverse faculty of artists and designers. The breadth and depth of creativity on display demonstrates the college’s continued support for a growing art department.
Presenting a variety of approaches to art making, the exhibit demonstrates wide-ranging expertise in techniques and styles: from traditional art media techniques in painting and sculpture, to video art, installation works and pieces made with advanced computer technology.
Gallery Talk, March 7
Elisa Decker, Adjunct Associate Professor of Art, and Peter Greenwald, Assistant Professor of Art, will lead a gallery talk on March 7 at 2 p.m. The talk is open to members of the BMCC Community and the public.
