A night at the Nuyorican will allow students to experience the energy of spoken word poetry on topics such as race, religion, love, and social justice that fuel the creativity of writers we study in Latin American Writers (LAT/ENG 338) and Contemporary Black Writers (AFN 322).
A venue steeped in history, the Nuyorican Poets Cafe holds its iconic Wednesday night Poetry Slam each week beginning at 9:00PM.
