Tribeca Schooltime Presents City That Drinks the Mountain Sky, part II. This instructional presentation on the NYC Watershed is good for all ages!
Learn About New York City's Unique Watershed
New York City has developed the largest publically-owned, unfiltered water supply system in the world. Based on equal parts human ingenuity and the eco-system services of the Catskill Mountain forest, this system provides clean water to nine million downstate NY residents.
Utilizing puppet theater’s elemental devices of enchantment, City That Drinks the Mountain Sky, traces life’s quintessential liquid from those mountain tops to city taps. The original production premiered in 1999 and has become a perennial favorite in our repertoire, with over 600 performances at venues throughout the region.
Performances are on Wednesday, October 18 at 10:15 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Tickets are $5 per student or chaperone (no charge for faculty)
