| The Business Training unit at BMCC is a full service
workforce development operation that includes three training and testing
units: The ACT Center, the Work Keys Center, and the Customized Training
Center. |
| The ACT Center provides unprecedented
access to online courses and high stakes testing. Individuals who
want to attain new skills or upgrade skills can choose from a growing
library of web-based courses in seven major categories: |

| A broad array of industry-specific, high stakes tests
and certifications will also be available at the ACT Center’s
test laboratory. |
| The Work Keys Center provides
businesses with comprehensive job assessment tools that profile the
skills and skill levels of current or prospective employees needed
to perform specific jobs. These job profiles lead to better hires,
skill upgrades, and, ultimately, a more productive work force. |
| The Customized Training Center
provides businesses with targeted training to meet the specific workforce
development needs of their company. Training can range from management
seminars to English as a second language to IT certification training
and many things in between. Courses can be arranged at the company’s
site or at our fully-equipped training center. Time schedules are
very flexible. |
