International Students outside the US
If you are an international student OUTSIDE the United States:

1. Fill out the BMCC I-20 Request Form.
2. Fill out the Affidavit of Financial Support. Gather your financial documents, and submit them in a package to the BMCC Office of International Student Admissions, 199 Chambers Street, Room S300, New York, New York 10007.
3. BMCC will send you Form I-20 and return your original documents you submitted as attachments to the Affidavit of Financial Support.
4. Take Form 1-20 and your Affidavit of Financial Support to your U.S. embassy or consulate to request an F-1 student visa. If you are granted a visa, the embassy or consulate will return Form 1-20 to you in a sealed envelope.

You will need to bring this sealed envelope with you and present it to immigration officials before you are admitted to the United States.

Visit the websites of the Department of Homeland Security and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
5. Submit your BMCC 1-20 Request Form, Statement of Financial Resources, and all accompanying financial documentation byNovember 30 for the Spring semester.

NOTE:
If, by any chance you apply for a new visa other than F-1, you must state clearly on your visa application that you intend to be a student and ask for a "prospective student" notation on your visa.
