Internships

Accounting majors are required to take an internship. Internships are offered in the fall, spring and summer semesters.

On your accounting internship, you will gain up-to-date experience in one or more of the following: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Auditing, Bank Reconciliations, Billing, Budgeting, Debiting/Crediting, Financial Statements, General Ledger Entries, Journal Entries, Payroll Postings and Taxation. Additionally, you will utilize accounting computer software packages, spreadsheet programs and a wide variety of general office software programs.

BMCC's accounting interns work in accounting firms, hotels, government agencies, non-profit organizations, public utilities, and many other types of companies and industries.
