Grading Policies REPEATING COURSES Students should not repeat a course if a passing grade has been received or if transfer credit has been accepted for a course completed at another institution. However, if you repeat a course for which you have received an earned grade of C or better, you can only receive a grade of "REP" for the repeated course and credit will not be awarded. Transfer Credits Advanced standing students, once they are admitted and registered at BMCC, may have earned credits from another institution transferred to BMCC, provided they have departmental approval. BMCC students taking courses at other CUNY colleges and BMCC students who have not attended the College recently must should contact the Admissions Office for transfer credit procedures and evaluation.   Academic Standing
