Accreditation Statement
The Borough of Manhattan Community College is part of the City University of New York and is accredited to award Associate in Arts (A. A.), Associate in Science (A. S.) and Associate in Applied Science (A. A. S.) degrees and certificates by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. (267-284-5000) The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

BMCC’s programs in Allied Health Sciences and Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and the National League for Nursing (NLN) Accrediting Commission respectively. These specialized accrediting agencies are also recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
