EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Cecilia Scott-Croff

Cecilia Scott-Croff is our Executive Director, an experienced administrator, teacher, staff developer and advocate for families, Cecilia has been in the Early Childhood field for more than seventeen years. Cecilia is zealous in her approach to supporting young children and their parents. She is a proud graduate of the City College of New York, having completed two masters programs one with a concentration in Early Childhood Education & the other in Administration & Supervision. |

Claudette Jordan

A seasoned administrator, Claudette Jordan has been with BMCC Early Childhood Center since September 1986. She is a strong advocate for student parents and is passionate about the services we provide to our parents. She has her MSW from Hunter College School of Social Work. |

Yvonne Gutierrez

If your answer is "yes" then please meet Yvonne Gutierrez, Office Manager of the Early Childhood Center.
An employee since 2000, she comes to us with a BS in Computer Science from Pace University. As a bilingual (English/Spanish) person she is very helpful to many students in the BMCC community. She also has an extensive background in the Arts. "How can I help you at the Early Childhood Center?" |

Mirelle Laporte

As our Family Childcare Network Coordinator, Mirelle's role is to support parents and ensure that they are partied with the right quality care provider. I serve as a liaison between parents and providers. I take pride in helping the families find a safe and pleasant environment where their children can learn and grow. She has fifteen years experience in the field of family child care. Mirelle has an associates degree in Early Childhood Education. |

Beverly Brown
She is a member of PS1-Chi the National Psychology Honor Society over twenty years of experience in several different child care and educational settings. In addition to her employment at BMCC, she works as special education S.I.E.T and she supervise an afterschool program at a private school on the upper west side. |

Natasha Coates
Natasha is a BMCC Phi Theta Kappa alumni and former parent of the BMCC Early Childhood Center. She bagan working in the field of education in the year of 2000.
She is currently studying at City College Center for Worker Education. At the end of Spring Semester 2008, she will receive a B.S. degree and an initial certification in Early Childhood Education. |

Leroy Dyer
Leroy is currently a student at BMCC, majoring in Early Childhood Education. His working in the field of MR/DD population given him the opportunity in helping children that promote their cognitue, social and emotional development and discovering their own world. Working as a classroom aide, and he will continue to help the children on their educational journey.

Khalilah Ford
My name is Khalilah Ford. I am an assistant teacher for the two year old classroom. I have been a part of the Early Childhood center team for over 10 years. I graduated with an associates degree in Early Childhood Education from BMCC. I have my assistant teacher's certification. |

Janelle Manson
Janelle is a teacher's aide in the Red Room. She enjoying working with children. She is currently working toward a Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. She likes working with the younger children, teaching them new things. |

Sori Palacio

Sori is from Higuey, in the Dominican Republic. She has worked at the Early Childhood Center in our Universal Pre-kindergarten program for the past six years. She is a graduate of the Early Childhood Program at BMCC in 2002. She is currently working on her BA degree at City College. |

Judith Peralta

I have been teaching at the BMCC Early Childhood for five years in the Evening and Saturday program. I have a tremendous love for children and place a high standard on learning. I possess a calm attitude and a superb understanding of children’s needs. Parents are surprised by how comfortable their children are with me. Children are an inspiration each child holds a promise to our future.

Sonia Sarria

Sonia first began working at the Early Childhood Center as a work study student and volunteer. In the fall of 2003 Sonia joined the staff as an assistant teacher. She works in our three and four year old room. What she loves most about working at the Early Childhood center is the opportunities to work with parents and children of diverse backgrounds. This has helped her grow both on a personal and professional level. |

Patrizia Scilia

Patti has worked in the Early Childhood Field for four and a half. She has experience with three months to four year olds. She believes that exploration & hands on activities are essential for every young child's development and learning experience.

Ms. Torres has been teaching for the past seven years. She has a bachelors of Science in Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education & Child Development. She is a state certified teacher. Currently seeking her masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education. |

Norma is a teacher's aide. Norma has been with the Early Childhood center fifteen years experience. She works with two year olds. She loves working with the children, and is currently assigned to the purple room. |

Jennifer Torres
jtorres@bmcc.cuny.edu
Jennifer Torres received her Masters in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work. Mrs. Torres has also received extensive family therapy training from the Ackerman Institute for the Family. Jennifer has been working with children and families for over fifteen years, with much of her work focusing on families who have been affected by severe trauma. Ms. Torres has also spent several years working in Early Childhood settings such as daycare and preschool programs. |
