When Rebecca Panko moved to NYC, she thought she wanted to pursue fashion photography. Instead, she enrolled at BMCC and eventually earned a Ph.D. in Biology.

The scholarship program provides tuition support and requires a GPA of at least 3.0, community service and more.

One of four winners from CUNY and among 508 nationwide, she earned an A.S. in Science in December.

Opening reception is April 17; exhibition featuring art by close to 300 students runs through May 11.
